Vinny Russo

"My Cousin" Vinny Russo

Vinny Russo

Ages ago, Jay “The Professional" Painter and Eric “Stringbean” Robinson, lords of improv, desired a child of both great talent and good looks (pretty), and therefore sought out and wooed Newsday, the eldest newspaper of the Long Island. Newsday gave birth to “My Cousin” Vinny Russo in a small town in Lindenhurst, and Jay “The Professional" Painter and Eric “Stringbean” Robinson took him to be raised in Theater Three by themselves.

The young “My Cousin” Vinny Russo grew to be the favored son. Other “Players” were always jealous of “My Cousin”. “My Cousin” excelled in power and popularity, and on his improv birthday, Jay “The Professional" Painter and Eric “Stringbean” Robinson had the wristband Mjolnir created, enchanting it with powerful magic. They decreed that Mjolnir would be presented to “My Cousin” when he had been proven a worthy improv warrior, and “My Cousin” spent the next several years training and performing heroic deeds of improv. Indeed, seven years later, Jay “The Professional" and Eric “Stringbean” gave the wristband to “My Cousin”, declaring him to be the greatest improv warrior on Long Island.

“My Cousin” Vinny Russo traveled to Port Jefferson many times in response to his worship among the fans. “My Cousin” reveled in his worship, leading many in battle and extolling the way of the improv warrior. Years later, “My Cousin” Vinny Russo became Creative Director of Friday Night Face Off. “My Cousin” continues to push on the way of the improv warrior making sure it stays as ever fervent, never dying out over the coming centuries.
